Prompt Generative AI to Show the IP They Steal

Generative AI image generators clearly show the IP they steal from.

One of my favorite Generative AI examples of “Do they steal their datasets” from copyrighted material is the example of prompting one Generative AI image generator to essential produce a still that exists in the movie from The Joker. Don’t worry, it doesn’t stop there, prompts can lead to Sonic the Hedge Hog images or even stills of Robert Downey Jr as Iron Man.

If only US Congress weren’t a complete waste of space these days and acted on say the advice from the US Copyright Office that laws need to be put in place to protect copyrighted material from being stolen by these big tech companies.

Seriously, what more evidence is needed? As in most things enacted in Congress, until the image of some Congress person’s child is found to be part of a dataset, they likely won’t act anywhere in a timely (oops too late already) fashion.

PS Featured Generative AI “Show the IP They Steal” brought to you by “Wow, I mean, it is very open-ended, but this is some impressive end of the world stuff” and “Times Square meets a Fire-Lightning god?”
