It seems like an annual (or every few year) thing where China does a mini-crackdown on film piracy. It usually stems from a popular Chinese film, and is something to report … though rarely at the scale that does much damage to the piracy community. In this case, films distributed via USB drive and directly filmed in theaters, which feels very 2000s, rather than of the current times. But it is happening. So, uh, good that China is taking some action?
