AI Removes Watermark Well, Great

Gemini now fully removes watermarks showing copyrighted works. Who needs to debate if they train off copyrighted works when they can now make it look like it never had a watermark. #AI #watermark #Gemini

One thing AI is great at is ignoring and helping ignore copyrights. From their training data sets clearly using copyrighted content without permission to the announcement that Gemini now literally will just remove an images watermark for you. This is the problem with creating something that is just designed for profit, through the eyes of many: it just screws over everyone who is an actual creator rather than moocher. Yes, that is the technical terminology, I believe.

And let’s be real, that’s what Gen AI is, right? It allows people who cannot do, to leverage all the work of those that trained and poured their souls into something, to now be able to sort of do in a half-assed way, with no real skill of their own. Wow, when you lay it out like that it’s pretty sad.

PS Featured Gen AI image with the theme of “water and marks” (ChatGPT refused to create an image with the theme of “AI Removes watermarks”) brought to you by pretty good depth of field, reflections, and creepy alien crop circle maybe nod.
