Election (Trump) Copyright Woes

Beyond the numerous, and repeated music copyright infringements that the Trump campaign has wracked up in the course of every campaign event they’ve held, one of our favorite copyright infringements come from the piece of crap watches (we believe that is the street name) that Trump has been hawking. Not only are their online claims of high quality craftsmanship complete BS, but the image they claim will be etched on the watches is one that is owned by the Associated Press and not licensed in any way. The AP is already sending cease & desist letters.

For anyone voting, let’s be clear, this is Trump’s legacy: a series of stealing from others, grifts to the highest level to solely to line his own pockets, and repeated claims that are entirely false to their core. You can’t support Americans when all you do is steal their work. It makes us think back to the 2016-2020 White House photographer and how Trump took his photos and published a book of them before the photographer was allowed to, solely so Trump could make money off of the hard earned work of someone else.

One of Trump’s reasons for running for president is to attempt to sidestep the plethora of legal troubles he has. He knows he can wield the office to cheat the system if he becomes president, and if he does not win, he may actual have to face the music (infringement lawsuits).
